Turbo b16 running super lean
Hello, I just pulled my ej coupe out of storage today and went for a drive. Before I had parked the car last year it had seemed like it almost had a slight miss at higher rpm's. I had never had an issue with the car at all last summer.
The battery was dead today, so we boosted it, let it run for a while then went for a short drive. I can't even drive the car it runs so lean. I have an aem uego wideband and it will not even register the air fuels because it is so lean. It seems to idle fine but as soon as you give it a rev it is very hesitant, bucks, sputters, fishbites. I pulled all the plugs and of course they are all white.
Was wondering if anyone has any idea where to start ? Thanks.
B16, drag turbo kit, rc550 w. Resistor box, gm 3 bar, hondata s200, no cel's.
I have a deatschwerks pump and new fuel pressure gauge on the way so I'll hopefully know a little more when I know my fuel pressures. Mine crapped out the other day
Thanks guys

Re: Turbo b16 running super lean
did you use any fuel stabilizer or drain the tank before you stored it?
bad gas can cause all sorts of nightmare problems
also, you just said your fuel pump went out on you, a dying fuel pump can cause everything you listed as well. as could a short in the fuel pump wiring (rats will eat anything)

Sorry what I meant was that as far as I know it is just my fuel presure gauge that is bad I believe my pump is still ok, I just wanted to relay my pump so I figured I'm best off starting with a new one. I noticed the pump has kind of gotten louder lately, but I always thought they work or don't more or less

I've also noticed this just a couple days ago which causes the same symptoms you mentioned. Injector clips were sticking out just slightly and not all the way in. It may not be the case for you but I'd check anyway.

If you are talking about a intank pump like a 255. This is not so. I had a Walbro 255 that could keep up but fell on it's face in boost. Get your fuel pressure gauge working. If it is your pump stick with the Walbro name some vendors are selling Knock off 255 style pumps that fail to work as advertised.
