turbo is almost done!!! just a few questions to finish it.
installed the swap and turbo last nght and its lookin good.
I tried to remove the deltagate spring so I wont boost while breaking the motor in but after removing the 6 screws nothing would happen. It wouldnt open.
what happends if I unplugg the wastegate vacuum line from the turbo, im sure this isnt a good idea but what can I do.
Also I have an fittings on my return line and the open downpipe is directly about the 45% elbow but not the SS line. Can I drive it 10 min to the performance shop to have them weld a DP without my oil line melting

There is a chance you can over spin your turbo by not having the waste gate vacuum hooked up. Keep the turbo and everything hooked up normal, just don't go into boost.

A good way not to go into boost is to disconnect one of the connecters from the intercooler piping. The car won't go into boost, and you won't have to deal with braking anything or installing the turbo kit at a later date. ( when your motor is broken in ). Good luck

Doing this you risk over-revving the turbo.

Yeap, taking off the intercooler piping will make the turbo over spin/ Not a good idea.

Should be fine..i ran a stock b16 with stock injectors, and a stock clutch for 6 months...sometimes i felt the need to give it gas, and its still fine. I even took it to the track a few times. No problems. I'm not saying that its safe, but i am saying it worked for me

bullshit, no fuel managment. you didnt boost then i guarantee that, must have been a slow pass with no boost.

okay then you had an fmu and a fuel pump then. that is fuel managment, not the best but it is.

Well yeah. I was assuming yusoslo had, AT LEAST, basic fuel management to get the car running decent. ( fuel pump, and an fmu ). Oh well, i guess he doesn't???

Re: turbo is almost done!!! just a few questions to finish it. (HyperITR742)
i have nothing right now. I have a chipped ecu for uberdata which I am in the process of doing.
If the car is not reved past 3500 rpms and I dont put it underload then it wont boost.,........which wont cause a need for a change in stock fuel.
so the queston clarified. If I start up my new motor and turbo with no fmu and stock injectors and stock fuel pump can I drive it.
I will withing few days have 440's and uberdata

Re: (DaX)
yeah i understand that, but it is highly unlikely if I dont get on it and just baby the car for 10 miles till I get the DP made. then I will install my chipped ecu.
