turbo accord worth it..?
so far i got sitting in my room for my auto 94 accord ex (f22b1)=
-turbonectics t3 super 60 turbo
-turbo performance manifold (chrome-plated)
-turbo performance downpipe
-hks ssqv blowoff valve
-tial 35mm wastegate (.45 spring)
-a'pexi turbo timer
-blitz 52mm bl boost gauge
-greddy universal gauge pod
-flex-a-lite turbo cooler
i'm waiting for the rest of the kit from DRAG for a custom setup... (like the intercooler, piping, and all the little necessary parts, etc)... so far i got on my car aem short ram, 5zigen catback, testpipe, and VAFC (not tuned yet-VTEC set to 3500rpms)... i'm wondering if my car will be significantly faster at around 6psi against cars like mildly modified integras, preludes, and civic hatches... anyone have experience with a turbo'd accord..? what cars will i be able to run against..? i'm wondering if nitrous would've been a better option for drag racing... but turbo you don't need a refill...

Well I have seen an Accord run a 12.5x. with a turbo on it. At Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove, WI.

Re: turbo accord worth it..? (mlambrecht)
I've had pretty good luck with the F22b1 (same as the accord). Not much aftermarket support, but I bought a extra block for $50 and additional tranny for $200.
In fact a local junkyard quoted me $700 for a F22b1, tranny and ecu.
So they are pretty cheap and so far mine is withstanding 253 hp/264 ftlbs.

The way I see it, if you ever question anything then why do it? Either go in ***** out or dont do it at all... Just my thoughts

wouldn't it be funny if you went ***** out on a project that produced no favorable results..? sometimes asking questions on a forum or reading from other people's experiences might allow me and others to learn something useful... like if a product doesn't seem to work with a lot of people, it probably won't work with you either... there aren't a lof of turbo'd accords out there (at least not in my area) so it's kinda like unchartered territory...

I'm sure theres other SOHC people out there that would agree that its not the best platform. Hell I'd love to boost a H22 but that takes $'s.
I still think its an underrated and cheap powerplant.
