turbine wheel and shaft swap
Has anyone swapped out the turbine wheel and shaft and replaced it with a different one? I currently have two turbos. 1st turbo has a hacked up turbine wheel but good center section. 2nd turbo has a good turbine wheel and shaft but a blown center section. Both are Garrett turbos and I'm wondering if I can simply swap out the good turbine wheel and shaft and slide it into the good center section. It seems like it's in there pretty good though. If I can do this, what is the procedure?

Re: turbine wheel and shaft swap (ludelvr)
u will prolly have to change the housings..
balanced, and u need to make sure the shaft hole is an exact fit..
i wouldnt suggest it.

Re: turbine wheel and shaft swap (slashDEVslashNULL)
well...I was really hoping that someone has done this before!! haha, I'm just not sure of how to remove it! Someone suggested tapping it out but I'd like to hear what some others have to suggest.
