Thursday, my s2000 has been running very rich (10.1) just cruising but not all day some times it would be at 13-14.2. I floored 1st gear and it felt normal until 7,000RPM, it was like I hit a brink wall in the power band. I then shifted into 2nd gear and it reved all the way to 9,000 no problem at all. I floored 1st gear again and it reved all the way to 9,000 then I shifted to 2nd gear no problem. I dont lose boost and the turbo spools like normal. Driving home the A/F was all over the place. It was 65 and nice out all day perfect weather and Ive had it out on hotter days.

from 11:00 to 11:15 it was around 10.1 to 12-00
from 11:15ish to 11:25 it was 13.5 to 14.2
from 11:25 to 11:35 it was 11.0 to 13.0
from 11:35 till when I got home at 11:45 it was at the normal A/F levels 13-14

The turbine is hardly spinning unless I give it a little gas, I stated my car up this morning and every thing was fine, the turbine was spinning and it was driving normal. Wide open throttle the would be good up till 8,000 RPM my AF level would go to 10.0 on my AEM wide band so it would of been richer then that. I got home and opened the hood and sure enough the turbine wasnt spinning. I put my hand under the dump tube while it sat in my drive way and I couldnt feel any air coming out of it...

turbine some times spins but always for a minute after starting it up

not screen over the intake side for 2 weeks now.

dude, seriously?
go pull the manifold off, look at the gaskets for signs of exhaust leak.
replace your gaskets and retourqe everything. This should be common sense.

depending on how big the turbo is sometimes they don't spin until you rev it up... my friends sc61 s housing barely spins... but it makes 422whp at 17psi... my own car t67 sometimes doesnt spin at idle, its normal for big turbos to not spin at idle... are you running an oil restrictor on there... maybe its not lubricated enough...when the car is off if you spin it with ur fingers, is there alot of drag...

i seen turbos that sit around for a year or so not spin freely until it was actually driven on and tuned

The turbo is a T3T4 .60 trim. It has been boosted for 7 months now and the wheel use to always spin. When I move the wheel with my fingers it spins like its brand new. I just got home from a 20 min drive and the wheel was spinning like it use to...

It doesn't matter if it spins or not. Why does everyone assume that a turbo spinning at idle is a givien, or an indicator of other problems?

The air fuel changes probably mean that the tune needs some work. Worry about that instead.

are you saying you can't spin it with your fingers freely? or it's not spinning on its own at idle freely?

Im getting the tune checked out Tuesday if my clutch doesnt give out, Im getting the new clutch, pressure plate next week.
