Default Turbine Housing thermal wrap

Hello,

Has anyone ever used or heard feeback about the wraps/blankets available for exhaust housings? I am considering one and how some questions...

Would it heat up the IAT's? Would it make the air coming from the compressor hotter?

Would it have any effect on the cooling down periode for the oil when the car is shut off?

Thanks

IATs will not increase, however the metal in the exhaust will get hotter, and since less heat is convecting away, more will conduct away... through the oil.

If you have a decent manifold, and water cooled turbo, I wouldn't worry about it. If you don't... It CAN hurt things.
