tuning prices?

hey guys, just curious bout how much did you guys pay for the very first dyno tune, with hondata s300 turbo(excluding dyno costs)? how many hrs?

Re: tuning prices?

The shop I got my tune at just charged a flat rate of $200 for tune and another $100 for dyno time. I have been quoted anywhere from 200-400 for a complete tune from shops in Oregon and Washington.

Re: tuning prices?

usually its about an hour on the dyno after prolly about an hour street tune. depending on the setup and how much power of course. i say 200 for street tune then 150 maybe for the dyno time and tune.

boosted94gsr 08-14-2009 08:25 PM

Re: tuning prices?

$500 should include both.

Re: tuning prices?

if it's their dyno normally you shouldn't be charged for dyno time. Hopefully it's included in the tuning price

Re: tuning prices?

Were are you located? That has a huge impact on the cost of the tune it seems.

Re: tuning prices?

it ranges anywhere from 400-700 bucks.

especially if stuff happens while on the dyno (leaks, bolts/clamps/hoses loose, sensors not working right, something not hooked up right etc....) the extra time sometimes will end up costing you while the car is there.

Re: tuning prices?

Where I'm located, it depends on who is tuning your car and how. I'm getting my car street tuned for about 300-400 plus 75 for setup fee next week and these guys are well experienced, if not the best local Hondata tuners. Dyno tuning costs extra. I know a guy who can tune my car for free with chrome, but that doesn't mean I'm going to him.

Re: tuning prices?

If your street tuning how do you know where to set you timing at for maximum torque? Other wise your leaving alot of power on the table.
