Default Tuning for 300whp = tuning for 500+whp

Looking for tuners or those with actual experience/knowledge for input please.
First build was a stock gsr turbo that put down 300 whp.
Last build was gsr turbo with pistons/rods and built head, put down 460 whp.
Current build is a sleeved 2.0 gsr turbo, pistons/rods and built head. Goal is 500+whp.

Tuning with Hondata s300
My question for the tuners is...

Is tuning this type of set up for 300whp basically the same when tuning for 500+whp??

I know tuners add boost and adjust air/fuel ratios, can adjust timing, and point of vtec engagement.

So other than the fact that certain performance parts(turbo, fuel injectors, etc.) need to be upgraded to handle more boost and make more power... is the METHOD of tuning the same?

or are there other factors that tuners need to adjust and look at when tuning for 500+whp??

more air= more needed fuel= more necessary tuning

AND more turbo that can actually convert the airflow to pressurized air. More lbs/min = more power

Okay, so like I said above... other than the obvious upgrades in performance parts like a better flowing turbo, bigger injectors, upgraded fuel system...etc. etc.

what exactly is the "more necessary tuning" part of this equation include??

I don't think I fully understand what you're trying to get at.... 300whp and 500whp have no difference in tuning, just different values and adjustments in the maps between the two I would guess

process for tuning is the same way, 300hp or 500hp the only real differences come when race gas is needed. when you switch to race gas you can get more ballsy with the timing and afr.
also in your case your tuner is going to tune the car for the 500hp that you are seeking and then will use the boost controller to knock it back down to a street worthy 300whp.

the principles are the same for tuning both. the only thing that will change is if you are using race gas then the same principles are applied but the values will be different. if you were happy with your tunes before and trust your tuner i would go back to them.

Stuff happens a lot faster at 500hp. A tuner who can do well at 300hp will not necessarily do well at 500hp. But the basics are the same, it's just that everything happens pretty much twice as fast and the margins for error are MUCH larger.

same principles and concepts. the higher the power the smaller the window of error becomes. the window is even smaller if the octane is low

Ok my understanding so far is...

that tuning for 300 hp and tuning for 500 hp is the same as far as the method and concepts used.
