Default tuners check out my timing table.

this is on a built d16Z6 running 9:1 compression, 16psi max, 7600rpms, greddy turbo, 11.5 +/- AFRs on 93 octane pump gas.

Yes i know every engine is different but just Let me know if you think it safe and conservative or if its a little dangerous.

Im in no way a tuner, but I do play with boosted cars alot.
At a glance, your in boost timing seems ok. 18ish deg at your boost level is what I would start out at as well. IMHO, I would not run less than 15* of timing in boost. Unless you were thinking in terms of 'Incase I overboost'.

When you do a low speed roll on from like 1500, does it slightly ping at all around 2500 before getting into boost? Stock D's dont hit full timing advance till around 3200ish. I noticed your at 26ish* at 2500. Ok now Im nitpicking Id run that map to the dyno

So you think i should ramp the timing up a bit slower from off idle up and not get to 26degrees at 0 psi till around 3200.

it seems to drive real smooth as is on the bottom end and to tell you the truth i don't know if i would know knock even if it punched me in the nuts. i've never heard it or at least i never knew what i was hearing was knock. LOL someone needs to record it and put it on HT.

here is the problem i'm having though. icouldn't get past 11psi so i did some trouble shooting and found out my blitz boostcontroller was opening at eleven even when turned all the way up(should handle 18psi) so i got the end of the actuater arm on the greddy and screwed it all the way in to shorten the arm and preload the spring. Sweet 15-16psi of boost now but it drives like crap up there. I was trying to see if i was getting detonation but it seems as if my timiing and AFRs are safe. so it may be the wasgate doesn't like being under so much pressure with very little movement left and its acting up or something. Any ideas? and more comments on timing would be great.

Ya know, with 9:1 I take that back. Its probably just fine. Youd hear it soon or later, and it wouldnt really hurt anything. I like how you bumped up timing at "0 vacuum from >3000 up and didnt really start pullin it out til about 8-10psi.

if it were me id probaly run about 2 degress less at higher boost levels (10psi+) just to be safe. but then again all motors are different. id try putting it on the dyno and start with very little timing and start giving it about 1-2 degrees more at a time and see where it stops increasing the power

Check your plugs. that wwill tell you allot about the timing of the engine, the map looks a little too linear but something to start with, get on a steady state dyno and tune the timing then until then its all a geussing game.

ok, im no tuner so take what i have to say with a grain of salt, but i did have my boosted z6 running on uberdata done by myself. at 10.7 psi your timing is like 23 degrees total, and i think the z6 map unretarded has about 28 total degrees of timing, making you have about .5 degrees/psi, which is a little bit low in my book. i dont think that you are in danger of blowing your motor up, but i would probably pull out a little less then a degree from what you have now in the 8-12 psi range, and maybe another half degree from there to full boost. this is just cause im a pansy and am conservative and dont have money to fix **** if i break it. overall it doesnt look bad
