tuner toy rods for d-series
 

anybody use these? and they just drop in right? no block notching?

You have to notch for any rod that big in a D series.

I actually made a thread about these last night.

I emailed them awhile back and was emailed back almost immediately (seem to have good customer support. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif)

I was told they're good to 4-500whp. The lady that emailed me said they are only good to about 6000rpm, but in my thread one of the posters said they can safely go to 7500rpm.

they say rev to 7k with the supplied hardware
or 8k with different arp hardware
its right on TTs site in the FAQ

I have first-hand experience. Yes, you must notch the block for d-series.

TT is some good folks, guys. I've bought from them a couple of times, they're great about stocking or ordering most everything I ask, if they have a line on it.

http://www.homemadeturbo.com has a couple of builds making solid power, using their rods.

What do I need to know about TunerToys H-Beam connecting rods?

Tuner Toys connecting rods...
Are torqued to 37Ft/Lbs
Require notching most blocks. (a standard procedure)
May need machining/honing of the pin end to match the pistons used. (again standard)
Can support up to 500Hp with the included ARP8740 Bolts
Can support up to 700Hp with customer supplied ARP2000 Bolts
Can support up to 7000RPM with the included ARP8740 Bolts
May support up to 8000RPM with customer supplied ARP2000 Bolts
Should be matched to your engine, using the factory manual procedures.
The above includes bearing selection.
Are sold for off road use only.
