Tuned by a girl race part III (the results)
Okay...for thos of you who's been following my build it...its been a long, tough, and challenging road but I reaping the fruits of my labor right now.
here's part I (if you missed it)

Part II

THE GRAPH sorry its so huge...hard to see if its smaller
red=pretune green=after tuned
I finally got around to scanning my dyno sheet.. Here's the analsys:
1. weather was 85F with 90 degrees humidity (not an ideal dyno day). My lady-tuner said she estimates a 5-6whp loss do to the heat. So she esitmates 293whp or more.
2. You'll notice a HUGE 25hp dip in the power curve, and a in the torque too. My VTEC point was set too low for some reason. I have since adjusted the point to about 5000rpms and my butt dyno tells me that that's about right.
3. Notice that I top off at only 6900rpms. I am running a 2.3" N1 exhaust which is a huge restriction. My tuner tells me that I should be making power till about 8000. She calculated 310whp if I had a bigger exhaust.
4. I am still using DSM 450cc's and waiting for my 550cc's to arrive. This will allow me to raise the boost to 1 bar even (which is my goal)...I expect to do 330whp by the end of the summer.
5. As-is I am doing mid-12's on street tires (with me driving at full boost). My 98lb tuner was able to pull 11.8 secs. This surpases all of my goals!

Im wondering the same thing.
must of been one of those downhill 1000' tracks or a Gtech

I asked about this in part 2. It was on the dyno. No wind resistance

There were 3 10sec runs (those must have been on the dyno because they were taken on the same day at the time time)
The 11.8 and 12.7 times were taken the day before and after the dynos....I have no idea how she got those numbers but the computer (not GTECH) recorded those time and it has been pretty accurate. Who ever suggested a downhill run could be right, but I did do high 12's a couple of days ago on a flat road.
As for the dip, well that's my fault (I think)...I have a separate VTEC controller (from my NA days) and it was set to 4200rpms as the cut over point. I don't remember turning it on...could be that she turned it on by mistake...or it may have activated itself when she was doing other things.
As for my butt dyno....my butt is pretty damn accurate (suprisingly) The red line on the graph is basically my tuning with my butt dyno...(not bad for having nothing but an EGT and the seat of my pants to work with)....
She basically fine tuned, and was able pull a lot more torque and 30 extra horses (which is a lot)...
That nasty dip can be felt. It felt NA till about 4600 then BOOOM major tire screech and the car is off. Now I have it set so that VTEC kicks in just a few moments before full boost (at WOT) and there is no NA feeling. It just goes! So I am confident that I got it right.
I will be taking it to the dyno at the end of the summer once I have my new injectors and stuff in. I will be able see if that dip is gone or not...but from what I can tell, it has been significantly reduced
