tubro questions (hot side exchange)
ok, I have a To4B its .50ar 1.15 hot. its supposed to be dual ball bearing (spins pretty good) the problem with it is obvious. the exhaust housing is too big. I ordered a SPA turbo .63 hot side for it. and the center bore on it is a little small, but I work at a machine shop and I could pretty easily bore it out to the same as the To4b's hot side dimensions. it appears that other then that everything will work.
now my question is, is there anything that I should know before doing this. and also I don't know what that will put the turbos capability to put down hp wise will be. I can measure the wheels or what ever I need to, just new to putting a turbo like this together.
please tell me as much as you can about this (also what exactly to measure)
reason for changing is the turbo had a horrible spool time on my stock b16. now Im going to an ls-vtec with rods and pistons, and i am just hoping that the turbo will be capable of makeing 375whp - 400whp
