trying to finish turbo install - could use some advice/help
alright, so ill try and keep it short: car: 98 civic coupe dx. turbo: greddy 19t kit for 96-00 ex's...most of it is in, im going to swap my y7 manifold for the y8 this weekend, and then i will be trying to get the piping done and the emanage installed. My problem is with the exhaust...first of all i realized that the ex cat is a lot different from the dx...so i figured i just wouldnt have a cat for a while. but now i realized that the downpipe doesnt bolt on to the exhaust...the guy who did my 2.5" exhaust jsut welded the piping to the stock connector so it is a lot smaller than the exhaust pipes and the down pipes...now i could take it back to get it redone, but i will eventually have to do something about passing smog (i live in cali) so i will need a cat...what are my options? basically i need to get my car running, but i need to leave room to be able to put a cat on very soon.
thanks for reading.

yeah, thats what i want to do...but it just doesnt seem worth it to pay the muffler shop to get this welded on, and then have to change it up and pay again in less than a year to smog it
