Troubleshooting: Turbo D17 with starting issues
Hello everyone, new to the forums but not to cars, hopefully someone has some insight to this problem that's been driving me nuts. I Have a 04 civic lx, a rebuilt d17a1 with stock internals and a pieced together turbo setup and hondata kpro. Last year I had 310cc rsx injectors and I could only get it running using the 01-03 narrowband 310cc turbo basemap running open loop. The 04-05 basemap using the wideband sensor wouldnt run for some reason.
Over the winter I installed a return fuel setup, external fpr new rail and 650cc bosch injectors. I also updated kmanager on my pc and the ecu. I loaded the 04-05 wideband 750cc basemap figuring it was the closest to my setup and loaded the dead times. Fpr set to 40-45psi. I could only get it to sputter and run rough before it dies on its own. Tried holding half throttle and it revved up and died. Since that basemap I've tried all the rest and get the same results. I swapped back the 310cc and loaded the .kal that worked last year and same problem. Tried the 650s again one more time and nothing, checked the plugs and they were black and wet with fuel.
Buddy said it might be the tps sensor so i tried clicking read while dataloging and it said min 40% max 60% not sure if this is normal though.
Any ideas would be much appreciated, thanks.

you need a professional tune. plain and simple. if there's any issues, the tuner can resolve it. but you NEED a PROFESSIONAL tune, not a basemap

Agreed with ya, I set up an appointment with a local shop for this month. Only strange thing is I can't get it running even with a setup that has previously worked and why my tps reads 40% and 60%. But it is what it is, i know they can get it to run just sucks I gotta tow it lol.
