Default Transmission questions... some info please

Ok, so i recently replaced my b16 tranny for an LS tranny...

The b16 had a nasty grind into 3rd (it wouldnt even stay in) and there was no reverse....

also, when i let out the clutch and put alot of load on the tranny when downshifting, it makes a bad winding noise... also, i can move the shaft really easlily BACK and forth by hand......not spinning it, moving it...

so the tranny is fucked bad.... SO im wondering, should i rebuild this or is it even worth it..

i also had someone offer me another LS tranny with a slight 3rd grind, strait trade.... i dont think im gonna do that though

Honestly, I'd buy a GSR or B16 and ditch the LS all together.
