If you look at the price of the Jimfab bars, they are already super cheap. He is having a sale right now though. Jim cant keep them on the shelf...ive seen his backorder list. Im sure there wont be a group buy. If you do want a awesome product at prices lower then their competitors...then buy from jimfab. As far as how they work...heres a basic run down. Wheels try to got back and lift up on launch. These just dont let the suspension get pulled back like that so it reduces the wheel hop that happens with the absent of the bars. Some are dangerous like Geoff said (Z-10 and comp. engineering) Jims are well thought out and in correct suspension align. not to mention the super good quality of his bars.

Re: ... traction bars... jimfab vs z10... and deals... (Speed PHreak)
arent these recommended for race only, and not for street use? ive read of lots of people using them on their dd(like in this post), but ive read about bad things(mostly on the crx/ef) happening when you hit big pot holes, etc that wouldnt be as bad without the bars. just curious, so someone clarify.

Uh, there is no way in the world you could have any way of telling what difference it would make.

on general...they are going to help, who much? you really cant tell cause thats app. specific. There is no problem running these on the street esp. the crx model. Once again I state this. Its all in the design. Jim really has his act together with that stage in the bars. They could be dangerous if they are not correct...but the Jimfab stuff IS.

Then why would anyone buy this product if that were true???

there are too many factors to try and predict it... what if your launch rpm changes? temperature change giving you a little more low end torque?
It will help though, no doubt.

Re: ... traction bars... jimfab vs z10... and deals... (tegasaurus)
your stock suspension use rubber bushing which allows the arms to move back and forth and cause wheel hop. the traction bar uses steel pivot ball joint which eliminate the arms flexing when launching. 4th gen civic uses front radius bar in there stock setup, so when you use traction bar on 4th gen it doesn't really screw up suspension geometry. the tracion bar just eliminate the rubber bushing on the radius bar.

i have asked jim about the street application for my rex, and his responce was that the bar is good to go for the street, just need to pay attention to the heim joints and replace them when the develop a play. he is working on a caster adjustable one as well. i reccomend his stuff completely.

I have the crx kit on my car and I can pull lots of caster into my car. I dont even have all the heims threaded to the end. The fit is perfect.
