I have but I have never been able to come up with a side by side comparision of the this. Basiclly what I'm looking to find is a comparison of two setups useing mainly the same turbo on the same motor set at the same psi with similar intake and exhaust setups. and same tuning setups. but like I have said I have already searched both recent and archived content. so any help that could be given would be greatly apreacaited.

Hey jack off...I did read it, but getting to see the damn dyno charts that the entire thread is referring to sure would be nice.

Yea, for the record, H-T search sucks worse than any site I've ever been on. It's nearly impossible to even find a front page thread with a search by putting in the exact title.

ok, to actually answer your question, top mount only has a few characteristics that make it better than a ram horn. one being that it is able to get a 4 inch downpipe, and two, a tiny bit faster spool times from what I have read, but only really affect on HIGH horsepower cars. three, easy install since everything is right their. oh ya, four, bling, which 99% of top mount owners use it for.

Yea never even thought of that. Thanks.

And in conclusion, CRX is clearly the best manifold by a large amount.

Although Hotrex does have herpes, CRX is still pretty good.

thanks for the link Zeremiah but I have already read all of those threads It's not quite the info I was looking for basiclly I'm looking for a comparision where someone has basiclly used both of thoose style manifolds one their car and has the dyno charts spool time and a varity of other variables listed. using the same size turbo just different manifolds. does anyone know of any sites or mags that have done a comparision like this.
thank for the help though

we tested our ramhorn and top mount manifolds on my car and saw no noticable difference in power production or spool time. this is a comparison between just our manifolds, this doesnt say anything about others. every manifold is different. what applies for one doesnt apply to all.

thanks for your input but I'm not just looking at numbers and spool is their any differences in egt and under hood temps as well as intake temps.

i dont think anyone here has the time .. energy or resources to bother doing a search such as that.

UNLESS... they're doing it for an engineering thesis or something. in that case. may want to contact full-race because one of their friends/engineering students did a study on turbo manifolds. Even then, the information you may find does not apply to any setup- any manufacture and has many variables such as cam, head flow ratings, turbo size/housing/condition.

Do you find yourself obsessing over things that don't matter? Do you still feel the need to exert control over these things for absolutely no reason whatsoever?

PS I voted CRX as it made more sense than anything else in this thread.
