Default Today's SOHC Dyno...

My supercharged D16A6 @ 9psi:

http://www3.honda-perf.org/community...c/dyno0404.JPG
Ambient air temp = 77*F
Elev. = ~5500ft
List of stuff everyone is going to ask about if I don't type it out:
450cc injectors
Zdyne gold ECU
JRSC w/Endyn work
D16A6 bored .020" over with rollerwave pistons, Eagle rods
Kami 4-1 header
Carsound 3" cat.
Thermal 3" exhaust
We tuned and tuned for 2 hours and changing the fueling made very little difference. I don't know if that means I just didn't go far enough with the fuel or if I had it dialed pretty close before I started. I've got about 3000 miles of Zdyne tweaking in the tune. The biggest difference came from just advancing the cam 1*. It went from a 184 to this 188. My first run with a cooled down motor was a 181hp, second run was a 177.

We also had it hooked up to the wideband, although I don't know why he didn't print out that info. A/F was right at 13.5 under boost. Anyone have any insight to share regarding what the ideal maximum time to set the injector pulse duration? I believe I've got it at 12.5ms at max boost - that's at 40psi fuel pressure.

It'll be interesting to see how much boost it makes at sea level next month....

Thanks for any comments,
-TJ

ahhh...you're running a little lean, you should be closer to 12:1-->12.5:1

Yeah that's what I was thinking, but I'd add some fuel on the top end, and the A/F would not move. Maybe I wasn't adding enough? I still don't have a good feel for what a "long" injector open duration is.
A friend of mine just built a DIY wideband, so I'll get to play with that soon.

Hey congrats! That torque curve is SICK! Has anyone else noticed that he gets over 100 ft/lb to the wheels at 2.7k rpm?! That little engine must pull like crazy now.

Actually, it looks more like 145ft/lb at 3000rpm...I was looking at the other side, too...then I wondered why the HP peak was before the torque peak So, it's even better! nice job.

I forgot to mention that all my runs were made in 4th gear . My tranny has ZC 1-4, a stock Si 5th and a sedan FD (4.059). 4th gear is 1.033:1 in my car. Everyone else with a Si L3 tranny dyno's in 3rd, 1.259:1.

Yeah, I know a turbo would have been the way to go, but I chose the supercharger road back in '97. Rather than sell it for a fraction of what I paid, I've just decided to work with what I've got.
I have been following the SC intercooler ideas floating around...I've had the same ideas for a couple years now, it's just a matter of executing them...maybe this winter (which is what I said last winter).
