Default Toda oil pump gear VS. Prodrive oil pump gear

I can't decide which one to get ... need some advice.

I need a oil pump gear that has OEM reliability that won't break/shatter at high horsepower levels. In the end, my motor will be on 16+ PSI hopefully making mid 350 WHP.

I know Toda makes some of the best products for the Honda. I had their camshafts, gears, and valvetrain. I definately put A LOT of miles on them and they are in perfect condition.

I know absolutely nothing about the Prodrive gear - except it is used a lot of turbo cars.

Forget about price ... only $50 difference with a groupbuy on the prodrive.

Which gear would you guys use for your FRESHLY built - dream engine?

The price difference is not $50. Toda is 220000jpy or $169 yen/$ so that's more like a $70 difference. I will be ordering mine next week if you would like to order one with me. The gears perform exactly the same if you are going over 350whp.

the price for the TODA is $300 usd here in the states, and in addition to that they aren't known to be indestructable. the toda gear isn't really designed for turbo, where as the pro drive is a tried and true part that i have never heard of fail, even in motors that make 600+ whp.

That's where I can't decide. The Toda gear is more designed for N1 racing and high revs. The prodrive is a turbo gear.

But, I would trust my money behind Toda anyday.

Well, don't all the big guys use pro drive? YOu guys know that Chris rado's oil pump failed on him after the 8 second run right? What oil pump you think he's using? Well, actually, it was Kubo's spare motor...
