Toda Killers, 9 psi, GT30R FTW Peak Boost kit

8-9 psi. Looks like boost creap, but its the cams coming on in the upper rpm's
precision 1000cc(w/walbro intank)
performer x intake
s2000 TB
Peak Boost gt30r turbo kit with all options
toda vtec killers
stock b16 bottom end
type r head
motec ecu
Cant wait for a 2.0 liter to bring faster spool and some usable mid range. But for now this should keep me occupied.

Looks like you would have a better powerband with some regular cams. That low end is really bad for the amount of power you're making.

With VTEC killer cams, all you're doing is killing VE in the lower RPM band, thus, literally "shrinking" your motor as you try to spool the turbo. Without a proper low cam profile, your 1.6L is essentially behaving like a 1.2L motor just by looking at the low torque numbers at lower RPM and midrange. It is also the reason why the turbo is spooling so late because there is barely any exhaust energy until you reach 6000+ RPM... All that overlap will also hurt boost response even if you are at a higher RPM, and defintely not the way to go if this is a roadracing car.
On the other hand, if you are determined to stay with these cams, a 2.0L long rod setup and 11000RPM will make this setup meaningful For 9000RPM redline, why delete VTEC?

I had originally planned with a Na motor build, I dont plan on using these much longer^
I wanted to see how they reacted to boost.

i dont know any of the specs on the toda cams but it looks like more is going on than just the cam "kicking in" to me
35r, ferrea non vtec cam set up
can you post the timing map...and possibly the fuel map? if the timing map isnt all jacked....i wonder if the timing is wondering on its own? what is the ignition set up as far as cam/crank pick up etc?

Not too bad of numbers.. throw some other cams in and it will be a lot better down low.
