AEM only adjusts the IGNITION timing. Your CAM timing is dependent on your timing belt. Sync your cam timing again and check your tensioner, it probably loss tension and skipped a tooth.

WOW...

sounds like someone didn't follow the Helms manual procedure for pulling slack out of the t-belt. the AEM has nothing to do with cam timing or keeping tension on your timing belt

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 1baddcivicsi &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">timing belt + tensioner are adjust to oem specs. just dont want that to happen again!!!</TD></TR></TABLE>

Then adjust it correctly and/or replace the belt. Something CLEARLY wasn't done correctly. Timing belts don't just skip teeth. And FYI, there is no "track" that the timing belt rides on.

check the t-belt and see if its missing any teeth. if it is then you could have a bad waterpump...could be going out on ya. check it out and get back with us with results.
