Timing advance for C16/Torco118 vs. dyno tuned 93 Octane
In general, how much advance can be added from a know dyno tune on 93 octane when switching up to C16 or Torco 118 gas? This is just a starting point of adding advance ( think of it as a good basemap for race gas) before going to the dyno to finish the tune.
Also, when using higher octane, do you need to add 3-5% more fuel to maintain the desired AFR that you tuned to on the previous 93 octane? Thanks in advance, and please keep the "just take it to the dyno" comments to yourself. If I had alot of spare $ I would and would even bother asking the question on here.

from my experience there really is no answer.
what are you trying to do with racegas.... i would assume your going to be turning up the boost? what kind of power is the car making now?
hell i tuned an all motor car a week or so ago that made peak power at 19 degree's advance. i just suggest starting low and working your way up. it only takes a couple pulls to see if your in the right ballpark. just keep an eye on the plugs and the chart.

Thank you for being honest and being one of few to answer the full intent of the question. I understand that I could just dyno this setup and be done, but race gas isnt cheap and neither is dyno time or my time so all that being said, I guess when I get a chance I will make a few pulls the old fashion way and pull the plugs at 1000rpm intervals in my area of interest to get things close and then hit the dyno when the customer has an extra $250 laying around. Thanks for the comments.

from my experience i can add about 4* of timing in the motor when running C16. just keep adding timing and watch your tq curves. on C16 and about 25lb of boost ~ 620whp on one setup i was running about 17-18* timing on C16
