Default tial wastegate vac port exhaust gas

noticed the inline filter on my vac pipe to the side port of the tial wastegate was black so pulled the pipe off noticed it looks like exhaust soot in the vac port (side one) and the top port is clean.

any idea why this would be?

I'm guessing your diaphram on your wastegate has a leak in it?

ive just had it apart and the shaft looks to have seized at some point as it is quite badly scored, so the gas it escaping into the wastegate when it opens, hence why its coming out the vac port..

arent they supposed to have anti seize coating to stop this from happening due to the heat?

dont know if its repairable..
