Default Wastegate Help PLEASE need fast help

Now I need to get a wastegate and I heard it was better to buy the smallest spring and just use the boostcontroller to adjust the boost. Does that make sense or does it matter what size spring I initially order with my wastegate????

just be realistic about what kind of boost you're gonna run. And think about it and how the spring works.
If you get a 9 psi spring, and you have a manual boost controller, it can't be set any lower than 9 psi. because if there is only say 5 psi in the line, the spring won't open all the way.

I plan on running about 12 lbs on the street and more on the track so I was wondering that if I had a electronic boost controller to adjust the boost does it matter what size spring I get???????

like pelican said earlier, factor in what amount of boost your going to run. If our going to run 20psi and shoot for high hp, dont get a small 5-7 psi spring, it will creep. If your going to run 12psi, then a 7psi spring should be fine, just kep in mind that 1. you cant go any lower then that 2. If you plan on running higher bost inthe future, you ma have to upgrade springs to be safe.

Per Tial, the spring you run should be the minimum amount of boost you plan on running. So if you want to run 12psi daily, and more at the track, then get the spring closest to 12psi. Then get a boost controller to run anything above that.
