Default Tial wastegate dump tube?

I am getting my car retuned next week and I do not have a dump tube for my new wastegate and manifold. Would it hurt anything if I didn't use a dump tube for a few days?

If anyone has a 38mm dump tube elbow and dump tube I can pay through pay pal if can ship it to me.

it's almost the same as not running a downpipe off the turbo, you'll be fine

It can raise your under hood temps, and your turbo will be sucking in exhaust and that will hurt performance.

just find a vendor on here (spoolin etc) and tell them your setup and they should be able to help you out

i would def get one before tuning, there have been multiple threads about people gaining 30-40whp by adding a dumptube when they didnt have one before

A dump tube will not increase back pressure but it will direct the exhaust gases away for the turbo inlet which will allow it to make more whp.

Agreed

I'd also add tghat the odds of a "universal" dumptube fitting are pretty slim. Flange angle, bend angld, bend radius all needs to be correct to have the dumptube fit correct.

i ran without one for about 2 months...radiator just has a black spot. i'd advise not to get an ebay dumptube as the one i had fell off while going down the highway due to crappy welds.

And depending where the flange is dumping, I've had a few people melt a hole in the radiator with exhaust gases. Remember, you're over 1400 degrees even with no load on a highway. Get a proper dumptube.

yeah i was reading up on how it could make the turbo pickup a bad mixture of co2 and run crappy which would prolly make a big difference. yeah i didnt knnow if having the tube wouldnt let the exhaust out as fast as not having the tube. my integra doesnt have one and basically ruined one of my fans and leaves black crap everywhere

bumping this

im using a tial 38mm, is there more or less performance if I use the same size pipe off it as in about a 1.5" dump tube angled down? I want the best power from my custom set up I could go from the 1.5-2" but if it makes no difference....

as long as you are using 1.5" you are fine...and don't have any sharp bends
