I lost the first set...they must of popped off while I was driving...luckily, the sticky gasket that I used kept the wg from falling off completely.

Today..as I was driving, I noticed that my WG was getting noticeably louder and exhaust fumes were coming in from my vents...I thought holy doggy doo...somethings up here. I checked...and bingo! the WG bolts were coming loose and the wastegate was riding up on the bolts....I tightened them down again but...has anyone experienced this? Am I suppost to use red liquid locktite or something to keep this thing down..

By the way, how can you open WG peeps stand that sound!!! ??? Sound horrible...as if I had like 3 engines underneath my hood!! ehk!

Yes, had 2 times the same problems. Now I use a Loctite bolt paste. Same with downpipe bolts here from the DRAG III kit.

Same thing happens to me, but I haven't fixed it yet. I do have lock washers on there.

what gasket are you using for the wastegate? I didn't get one with the fmax kit and am not using one at all. I occasionally have a little carbon residue near my connections for my wastegate to manifold and turbo to manifold. I used special high temp threadlock for these and they are not loosening.

Is it normal to have a few very tiny leaks? I get good spoolup so I don't think any leaks I have could be substantial. Can you recommend a good gasket and part no. for the tial?

It is toward the bottom, the Delta Gate gasket. Will fit the Tial fine too.

anyone figure out a way to keep the bolts from coming loose? im plannin on gettin the tial wastegate and i want to make sure i dont get the same problem.

The day i put my turbo kit on.. i had the same problem........
the solution was red locktite.. and yeah they don't move now !!! solid as a rock.

I haven't had a problem with bolds loosening yet and I have a rev hard manifold and tial wg.. I did however snap a bolt in the 1 side of the tial where it meets where a dump tube would go... best I could do was drill through it and put a MUCH smaller bolt and lots of washers... no mani, dump pipe, or downpipe bolts have come loose on me yet.... ::knocks on wood::

can you put studs in where the bolts normally go? if so then i would put studs in and then use two nuts on each stud. tighten the first nut and then tighten the second one against the first so that they are pushing against each other. just an idea

Same **** happened to me. I bought a new set at kragen and used some loctite. My dp bolts were fine.
