Tial BOV Sound? or compressor surge?
Hey guys,
I have a tial bov on my turbo miata...I bought the car with it on and it sounds like a rooster..is this compressor surge? I've never heard a tial on any other car so im not sure how it sounds.

If you don't have a good vacuum source and a big enough line, then the TiAl bov will react slow and you will get compressor surge. Make sure it's the size line that fits the banjo fitting and make sure it has a good vacuum source, not t'd in with 50 other things. It really makes a difference on that.

I'm having the same problem with mine. It was SUPER loud.... now its pretty quiet, and im pretty sure the noise im hearing now is comressor surge. The line looks good, so imma opt for a different source. (right now, its tee'd off the FPR by itself)
Its frustrating.
