throttle body question???
 

i tried posting this in other places and nobody helped...you guys always do so here goes. I bought a 68mm str TB and on my gsr TB there is a nipple on the top of it that goes to what looks like a catch can (i dont know how else to discribe it) that is in front of the passenger side fire wall. Is this hose nessesary to hook up and what is that thing that the line goes too? thanks

yes this goes to your charcoal canister.(little black cylinder) then it runs to your evap can. this is part of the evaporitve emissions control system

is it nessecary??? i dont have emmisions where i live.... the new TB doesent have a fitting for it so what should i do with it???

Its just for emmisions. You don't need to have it hooked up. I pulled the one (black box) off my car and it runs find. Can't say I will pass smog though with all the things done to my car.
