Or that they dont even show the gauge in the pics.
Looks like it comes in a nice box though.

Yup.

I know a few people running these gauges or ones like them (that have a dark tinted cover), and they have a hard time seeing them in the daylight.

I don't know much about the functionality though.

i just purchased a set of these gauges...

the quality blew me away, i got egt, oil psi and boost- ALL electronic, inlcluding boost. 68mm face with 60mm body. The only ones available are amnber face- i havent installed them yet but i did hook them up and they look AWESOME.

lighting is incredible even, needle lights up internally and flashes when you hit the warning level. Gauges also have peak memory. Also each gauge has an extrnal port for a warning light. And the self-check startup sequence is pretty damn cool. All gauges included sunvisors. Unlike other gauges the lens isnt tinted- the numbers just arent lit up at all when off so it looks black- when its on it is not hard to see at all (even tho it is amber) and the lighting distribution is very even unlike cheaper gauges ive had

Mounting them is proving to be a bitch but damni was impressed with the quality. Straight from HONK KONG! I bought them from that same ebay seller got them in <a week! My only other gripe is there are a lot of wires, running them cleanly is also a but of a quandry.

These were my exact thoughts.....until I was coming down the main straight at Lime Rock wondering where the hell the needle was on my temp gauges. Trust me, anything with a tinted front lens will suck intensely in anything other than a show car or night-racer.

In the product description it says that the lense is "smoked".

So, you can't change the warning values? I suppose for the price you can't really complain, at least they have a warning function.

Does anyone have some better pics of them? The ones in the auction suck bad.

hopefully this gives u some idea- the noise in the movie is cause the signal wire isnt hooked up and i kinda rigged the power wires just so it will turn on (there are like 4 power wires - its a bitch).

The lense is quite tinted. They are even difficult to see in the ambient light of your photograph. Good luck with them, they should work fine for your use.

i dont think the lens is tinted but if it is its very slight. I had "tinted" megans racing gauges before and they were damn near impossible to see even with the backlight on.

If you have any power running to it at all it looks like the 2nd pic- the first pic is it completely off, so its not like youd be driving and trying to "see" it cause when its on its very easy to read.

These are night and day by comparison.

I had to tune a bunch of cars with these gauges in them. They are horribly ilegible. Bad layout, not bright enough, curved lens distorts badly at even slight angles. The cheapest autometers blow these out of the water.

I would just hook up a ballon to the end of a boost line instead
