just some questions, but, we know the ram horn manifold like the back of our hands now-a-days, my question, why doesnt someone make the collector just like an inch shorter so it will hold the turbo up higher for better oil return...?

not that this manifold is terrible for oil return, but it isnt the best and people are making like 5 inch tall collectors. I know you got to have some length for a WG primary, but looks like there could be some room for higher turbo mounting...

just my .02 , im not flaming

You'll lose 1,000 horsepower by reducing it 1 inch

the ramhorn seems ok with the oil drain. The lovefab mini-me drain line is hella low. Thats what i have and i worry about it sometimes cuz its pretty level and i live in a city with a lot of hills

Why not run a 90 degree elbow off the bottom of the manifold so that you mount the turbine inlet perpendicular to the plane its on now, and the wastegate straight down from the mainfold? Apparently there is something to be said about wastegate priority, not just from Hytech style manifolds but also F1 racing. I don't know how much of a lift in oil drain height you could get though.

Our Peakboost manifold uses a 4" collector to allow for a more direct oil return angle. I can snap a few pics of the oil return line tomo at work

But that would require them to use their Own Brains

oh wait, you already figured it out for them.

my brain says that a better flowing merge is far better than an unnecessarily high CHRA.

wade, look at how many people run ramhorn manifolds, none have issues with oil drains, you are just overly paranoid. When are you going to become the master manifold creator anyways? I want to see some wadefab.

that's almost WADEL pissed.

[to anyone that doesn't know wade personally, he tends to get upset sometimes and to that we call that WADEL pissed. He turns red, and quickly grabs his favorite snap plier to attack you with. With his new found love of welding, we fear he may attack us with the MIG]

Myspace is taking over the world.

BTW, you'll have some competition - I just started migging up a manifold for myself. It's so easy and cheap I think I'm going to start selling them.
