Default Thinking of building it...What did you guys pay for machine work?

I have decided to wait until the spring to finish my set-up. While I'm waiting I am just gonna throw pistons and rods in it and shoot for 400-450 WHP Now What have most of you guys paid for machine work to throw forged pistons/rods in? TIA

I don't know what all your looking to get machined but here is the local machine shop price brakedown.

Bore and Hone: $150
Block decking: $50
Cleaning: $20
Crank polish: $30

Head surfacing: $30
Vavle job: $150
Cleaning: $20

Now of course if you want them putting it together thats extra but the stuff I listed should get you taken care of machining vise.

Bore/hone/hottank + return ship - $160
Mircropolish crank + return ship - $150

That's what I paid thru Earl. Didn't bother getting it decked.

Valve job - $250

That was thru Portflow.

Hey Nick, Jeff builds motors if you are interested. Since you are local it'll save you on shipping costs.

DONE! Search is over I thought I heard him say soemthing like that when we were down with Tye's GSR...How do I go about having him build it? I'm jus gonna do pistons/rods along with my GE head studs and shoot for about 400 - 450. I was going to build it over the winter...so instead of coming in to get tuned in november and driving it for like 2 weeks...im just gonna build it first. I'll give you guys a call tomorrow Andrea!
