Default thickest y8 head gasket?

What's the thickest head gasket I can safely use on a d16y8 running 9-11lbs? I'm trying to lower the cr as much as possible.

save your money and get ARP studs or throw it towards tuning, thats the best thing you can do. OEM headgaskets are fine.

I'll have arp head studs, and I'll get a tune immediately after finishing my boost project. My problem is that the motor was already built for high comp. The srp pistons alone yield a 10.5:1 cr with the oem gasket. Right now, it has a thinner cometic head gasket, bring the cr to nearly 11.0:1. I don't think I wanna run 9-11lbs of boost with that, or even the 10.5:1 cr I would get with an oem gasket, no matter what kind of tune I get. I live in CA, highest octane fuel I can get at the pump is 91!

Yes... but the stock cr on a y8 is 9.6:1, not 11.0:1 or 10.5:1.

look at b-series tard they run 10:1 to 11:1 compression stock cast internals without problems. You have upgraded internals, and aren't going to compromise on tuning i hope.

that just means youll need less boost to hit your goals. Your first mistake is saying you want o run 9-11psi that means pretty much dick without the turbo youll be using, its all about cfm.
