Default Thicker head gaskets to lower comp. for boost on stock pistons and rods ?

well should u do this or not i know it is the cheap way out but cant aford pistons rods and tuning do u think it is good or not and how thick is too thick how much well it lower my comp. the gaskets start and .030 to like 1 how thick do i go to get my comp. on a milled gsr head and block to 8.5 9 and 9.5 and how low of comp. would u go i am runing a t4 top mount turbo kit thinking about going from 6 to 12 psi not too sure thanks for help
