Default Is there supposed to be a gasket in between the turbo and turbo manifold on the drag III kit? cuase

Is there supposed to be a gasket between the turbo and the turbo manifold? I know my kit didnt come with one i was just making sure.

yeah actually there is a gasket that goes between the turbo and the manifold. There's no gasket between the turbo and the DP though.

I've actually heard that for connections where both materials are the same heat (manifold to turbo / turbo to dp), your better off w/o a gasket and just using two perfectly flat surfaces.

But I'm not sure what the DRAG kit is supposed to have.

no DRAG does not supply one.....at least I never got one

fmax doesn't either. They recommend the copper high temp gasket material between all such mating surfaces.

I used an HKS T3 gasket. Worked great.

It is not 100% necessary, but I wanted to make sure I had no exhaust leaks.

anyone ever used high temp gasket maker...like you use on the oilpan? seems like that would work pretty good.

I still think the turbo/manifold gets too hot for that stuff. You need a metal gasket.

u can go to a saab dealer and get one i did they have t3's to i payed 12 bucks

These guys sell, both a T3 turbine inlet gasket ( $8 ) and a t3 turbine exhaust gasket ( $15 ).

just go to your nearest parts store and get a turbo gasket for a 86 ford thunderbird. Works like a charm and is CHEAP!!!

Just want to share this with you guys, I bought mine from Turbonetics themselves, and it is only 3.70. looks exactly like the one in roadraceengineering.
