Is there a difference between D16Y8 injectors and D16Z6 injectors? I have a Y8 manifold.
Tried using D16Z6 injectors but they don't fit in my D16Y8 intake manifold.I don't want to have to ground down some gaskets so I ordered a set of Y8 injectors and they look, sit and feel the same as the Z6's??? Did I get shipped the wrong injectors or are all D-series injectors going to sit in my manifold like that??? Thanks for your help.

Nope-just wanted to buy some injectors so they would fit snug in the manifold and I wouldn't have to "trim" a set of manifold injector gaskets down. I find it hard to believe that this is what was done for oem parts. So I guess what I'm asking is:Do all D-Series injector manifold gaskets that go in the manifold so the injector fits snug in the manifold need to be trimmed??????????????

I never did anything to the y8 manifold on my car and it has a6 injectors in it. Don't have any experience with z6 injectors but i'm pretty sure they're all the same size, just different clips.
