Test Pipe Length -- GSR, 18G, thermal

i have searched and i know someone out there has my set up and knows the answer!

i have a 98 gsr with greddy turbo kit, the downpipe goes to the stock location, so it works with stock cat and stock exhaust.

i have a Thermal 3" catback which the B-pipe is much shorter (for fittment on different teg models). my question is to those of you who have a greddy kit and thermal exhaust, how long did you have to get your test pipe to be?

i had one made ~17.5 in (stock length) and it is way too short. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsad.gif

i would rather have a custom one made (SS, flex, TIG weld, etc..) than going to a exhaust shop and having them chop and add to my current test pipe.

whats the test pipe length!?! thanks

this is pretty hard to believe

The only answer to this is to crawl under the car with a tape measure and do some measuring.

i just dont want to end up being off a little and have it not work.

will the flex section allow for more or less length if necessary?

Not really - maybe 1/4" at most. Its around 19" on my 00 GSR.
