Icon7 Attn: Dseries setups read "HELP"

I was wondering if I can get some support and feed back from all you single cam lovers out there. I am wanting to see if there is any interest out there in the single cam community for wanting to try and get some gears made for the dseries trannies. Currently there is no one out there that has or is willing to produce any kind of pro series gears for the dseries. They all say there is not enough interest for this product. There are plenty of companies out there that make them for a bseries setup but nothing for the dseries. I know there are more and more people out there still building some serious single cams that would love help in this department so I figure I put it out there. I currently have a 600hp sohc that I keep breaking transmissions with and have been looking to get some help. I have not been able to find someone that sells a conversion kit except on person in Canada and he is out of his mind on the price. So I figure if I could get enough positive feed back from you guys mabe I can go to someone and see what they would be willing to do for us.
I would like all positive feed back from anyone interested. All negative feed back, well keep that sh** to yourselves. Lets see if we can make ourselves heard and see if anyone is willing to help. Thanks for your time and attention to this matter. Race on.

Actually there are still quite a few die hard d series fans out threre such as myself. An upgraded gear set for our trannies will be nice, especially since I am in the process of looking for a new tranny for my current setup. Cmon d fanatics lets get some feedback.

yes if I can get enough people willing to purchase a dseries gearset for our trannies I can get someone to make them. but there has to enough interest. So if you are out there running a dseries setup 300hp or great chime in and let me know so i can see what I can get done for us. I appreciate all that are out there still holdin on to those dseries. I just cant seem to let go. Thanks guys.

I would prefer a affordable d2b setup to be honest.
Good idea on a gear setup though.

Speaking of D2B, it would probably be in the price range of a (relatively) small-run of gearsets. *Strong* aftermarket gears aren't cheap, especially in custom ratios. You also have instant access to different tranny gearings, as well as cheaper aftermarket gears/FD's.

If as many people jumped onto the D2B wagon as they did this idea, it would probably be just as cheap. Sorry to be shooting your idea down, but I'm a realist, not an necessarily an optimist.

Trust me guys I would love to have a b2d setup as well but the costs to make these would not be cheaper then getting custom gearsets made. I have already looked into this. The only guy that is making this or willing to make the b2d setup wants to charge $5000 and he does not want to cut to much of a price break on multiples. Now as far as the gearsets I have already spoke with a company that stated they would be willing to make custom pro series gearsets for the dseries as long as they felt the need for them. They stated they would have to have enough people on the market that would be interested in them for them to produce. If we could show them there is enough interest he would make them and the costs would run at about $1600 to 1800. That's a hell of a lot cheaper then the conversion. So, if we could get a conversion kit for around the same price then I'm game for that otherwise, we are stuck with trying to get some gearsets made for us.

RacerSteve on here does heat treating. He has done quite a few and people havent complained. There is a post also about his heat treated gearsets. Rota92 had his done on his SOHC and said it helped alot.
