tempting to build my LS, some questions.
hey guys, ive owned hondas ever since my first car and never really did any serious mods other then motor swaps and all that stuff, now i want to build a turbo LS with my current car. so heres the questions.
I have a b18b in a 98 GS 2 door and i want to run slightly higher boost then stock.
I know i need ARP head studs are a must and a better head gasket too.
should i get low comp pistons? i know lower compression are much better for boost but i dont know what the different compressions mean.
Also would cams play a big difference?
i also know that im going to possibly need a bigger fuel pump and injectors
what else can i do other then retainers/springs/cams/pistons/headstuds/rodbolts and pistons? i also am about to buy a fully built GSR tranny cause mines already shot. Sorry for the noob question, i just want to have a faster then stock car, and would like to see some higher boost numbers.

also why in some turbo cars do you heal the spool so beatifully, and in others you can barely hear it at all.

what kind of power do you want to make? dont think in terms of psi...
a walbro fuel pump is good investment for less than a 100 bucks as well as are arp headstuds fo round a hundred bucks
yes you will need new injectors, size will be based off of how much power your looking to make
an oem honda headgasket will do just fine and as far as compression that also depends on power goals...just remember if you go lo comp your power off of boost will suffer i am running about 350hp now on my b16 and am running a 10:1 comp

If you are looking for a 250-300hp, its easy on a LS. Get some dsm 450's, arp head studs, oem head gasket(if you need one), and a good sized turbo, walbro 255, and crome free, and a obd2-obd1 ecu jumper, and a chipped obd1 ecu. Then get a good tune and call it a day. Just look for the lst thread in the fi section and READ!

alright, those are your essential parts to boost a car, what is next in line to swap out if you were seeking more HP? sleeves pistons and rods i guess?
