OK had a problem with the hose and I now have a heater hose returning the oil to the pan. Probably not a good idea but I need to get home tonight and take it to the shop to have it done right. The hose is only about 6 inches long. Think it will be safe?

I don't think it's under any sorta pressure. It's 3/4 inch and the oil line going to the turbo looks like only 1/4 inch.

i used heater hose for about 20k miles 3/4" also

heater hose deteriotes(sp?) over time. but we'er talking like a year.

I know they make line fortransmision coolers and oil coolers that is 3/8" and above, and is made for high temp oils ,

I used it for a while. I just had to train it with hose clamps because it had a tendensy to kink a little on me.
