Tell me what you think of this intake manifold
It looks very close to a skunk to me. It would retail at about $230. It is available in GSR, B16 and LS. This guy has 1000 of these (made in Asia, I assume) and wants me to sell them. The quality is actually very good.
Is this a good price for retail? Do you guys think I should sell them or pass? I will make my decision based on how you guys feel about this.

Re: Tell me what you think of this intake manifold (earl)
Do you have any performance statistics about it?? Do you know anyone that is running this? I think you should get some testamonials or some good facts before you invest a lot of time in them. How do the ports and runners look from the inside as well. Just looking at the outside of a manifold doesn't tell us much. But, the price is good if its like Skunk2's.

doesnt look 1/2 bad - and the price is right! Maybe you should dyno test one, because and after using a stock manifold?

Do you have any more pictures? Specifically the inside of the plenum. $230.00 retail isn't a bad price IMO.

If you hadn't told me, I'd have assumed it was Skunk2. What's the plenum look like? A side by side comparison with Skunk2 would make or break it.

I doubt that this will see any dyno challenges. I just see it as a skunk clone.

Re: Tell me what you think of this intake manifold (earl)
Well it's hard to tell from these pictures, but it looks like a good quality piece. If you told me that this was a skunk2 from these pictures I'd think it was. You sure it isn't the same place that makes the skunk2 manifolds? It looks exactly like my skunk2 that I got a few yrs ago, although I'd have to take a look at mine again to look at the details..
I guess it would really come down to price. If you sold them at the retail price it's a good price, but if you sold it around $200 I'd think that's a great deal. Although alot of people these days seem to be wanting/running manifolds w/ huge plenums/short runners like the JG manifold, so I guess it really comes down to how much you'd have to invest in them.

I dont thinkt they look bad at all either, like you said its a clone at a cheaper price.
wouldn't hurt to try it out.

Look very OEMish...I like it...as for the price. Can't beat it. Think the quality is just as good as the oem..from the pictures.
Go for it Earl. I think this will out sell Skunk2. Plus...maybe skunk got them from the same people and sale it for more?

earl have you seen the aebs in person before?
so are you gona dyno it before?
You might want to call aebs and find out how many of the intake manifolds they have sold.
considering the quality prolly isnt as good as the one you are looking at, and the gains from itr to aebs is minimal.
those intake manifolds might be a decent deal

Who's to say which is the knockoff? Makes me wonder sometimes.

I think your decision on whether or not to sell should be based on the dyno numbers. The quality looks good, now all we need is a direct comparison to the Skunk2 manifold.

Re: Tell me what you think of this intake manifold (blufke)
...both sides of the coin. skunk2 made it fit a GSR head... and the AEBS *does* make more power than the skunk2.

Pre-release lowball, wow innovative.
I think it would definitly be a great option for people looking to ditch the GSR dual-runner IM. And I would buy one for my all motor LS. But I don't think we're going to see huge performance gains over the ITR and B16 IMs....
so, GSR and LS, yes, ITR and B16 maybe.
