Default Teflon Tape on tapered fittings?

I know to use teflon tape on the regular fittings, but do i use it on the tapered fittings, like the ones that the pressure lines screw on to?

they are tapered for a reason, they dont need anything but the 37* flare to seat. its actually a rellay good way of sealing without having to add anything to it

LOL, DON'T put tape on a tapered fitting. It seals on the taper, NOT on the thread!

yup

ive been using solid copper feed line's for 3 years now with no problems w/ taper fittings. You dont use anything on them. I also use them at work on many things in HVAC.

i as gonna say i thought the whole point of FLARE fittings was that you did not use any sealant....sealant is for pipe threading as far as i know.

lol yeah i had a guy here that said to put teflon on the taper side on the thread, im like, lol if the taper leaks its going to leak out of the line before it could get to the threads since the threads pulls the taper onto the fitting.
