im pretty sure the td05h turbo i have is a 14b off a 1g
whoever had it before me rigged up this nasty spring setup for the wastegate

are the wastegate actuators for the 16g and 14b the same?
im just trying to make sure i know what i want before i commit & purchase something

how about this. why would someone take the time to create this instead of just getting an actuator. they arent that expensive. theres a thread on here where a guy sold one for 10 dollars.

is this to keep the wastegate closed at all times to not limit the turbo at all?

if so can i do the same?
i talked to a guy about trying to tune this but hes not sure about it.
basically he said he wouldnt

i know for a fact this came off of a car that had been tuned with the turbo like this so wtf
