Default TD05H and dowpipe on a 4G civic/CRX

i will be doing a custom turbo setup on my 90 HB
the motor is a D16Z6 and the manifold is a HF....
i have noticed on some sites, including home made turbo that when using the O2 housing from the 14B it iwll hit the crossmember
how much is the clearance needed between x-member and the housing?? has anybody been able to do something besides a custom bracket and downpipe for this matter to get clearances... i am willing to chop some of the lip of the cross member to make it fit..
i just wanna have a general idea of what i am going to encounter once i start doing it so i can have all nesesary hardware with me
(btw- yees i know the jimfab will clear it, but cant afford that xmember just yet)

Make your own downpipe............................that's what I'm doing. It's much less headache than messing with the stock one and getting it to clear.

yes if u use the stock on ur down pipe will be very close to the ground.. u'd have to cut out almost all the stock cross member to get it to work.. there is a reason why no one uses them

on the crx resource a guy bolted the turbine housing to the HF manifold without welding and worked good

its just about 1" what takes to clear the damn housing to the crossmember???
if so, thats not even a lot

A usdm 4g- What type of ecu, and management you going to use?

Did you swap your z6 to obd-1?

Just wondering because i want to turbo my z6 but it's not obd-1, so i'm kind of limited.
