tach going crazy on my first turbo build
Car is a 2000 DB7 with 95k on it. LS turbo just installed and tuned. When in higher RPM and at full boost (10psi), the tach starts going nuts and bouncing at about 5500 or 6000 RPMs. I cant tell where to shift so I let off. I was told it was the ignitor and I should just replace my dizzy. Just want to get some other opinions/experiences as well before I buy a new distributor. What do you think? Thanks in advance

Why not? I've used them on a couple different setups and have had no problems at all. Not to mention a brand new oem distributor is gonna cost you about $800

Re: (SpoolnG2)
Well under $500, and thats assuming you need more than the ignitor, which is $175.
You may want to check all your fuses and grounds. A bad chassis ground can do lots of bad things. Hopefully you have a friend with an obd2 LS so you can try his dizzy to pinpoint the problem. Just be thankful its only the dizzy, if you had another problem or two, genius up there would be telling you to buy a whole new car!

Re: (HiProfile)
If you read the posts above I said to buy a new distributor from distributor king. Because you can get an entire ready to use dizzy for the exact same price that you could get ONLY an oem ignitor. Then the person below me said get an oem one...and I said it would cost much more to get an entire brand new oem dizzy.
Thanks "genius"

Re: (SpoolnG2)
we run into problems with distributor king distributors ALL THE TIME. when you have a dyno and tune a lot of cars, you really get to see first hand what products are good and what products suck.
