T4 flange: whats my best turbo option
I had a manifold built that is running a T4 twin scroll flange... now im just not sure wich turbo to use. im not looking for huge numbers, but i enjoy the get up and go of 8-10lbs on my gsr swapped del sol. yes i will be tuned, it is a topmount, and i can retain ac..but if it gets too big, im afraid of the heat may affect my radiator hose( its between cylinder 4 and the top hose, right in front of the dizzy)
so im looking for opinions, sizes, any oem turbos from other cars that may work, and any imput that can be helpful
Thanks HT

Maybe because you failed to mention any relevant information. Goals, details on the manifold (holy crap pictures might help), What car is this crap going in, etc....
Seriously your vagueness almost made me want to not reply but come on there was nothing to go on for anyone to respond to. Also how do you get a tdo4, and evo 16g when your talking T4? thats like way opposite spectrum of turbo sizing. christ.

Re: T4 flange: whats my best turbo option
thank for the corrective critisism and enlightenment on my vagueness yet the sarcasim was uneccessary.. sorry to be so bleak, moving on...now the vehicle is a 1993 del sol si with a obd1 gsr with around 62k miles
i previously ran a OBX ramhorn with a turbonetics t3/t4 .60 ar. my current manifold is an xs power b series sidewinder topmount made to be ac compatible... we reinforced the manifold and the cut and rewelded anything that appeared to be of poor quality welds (it was new and free)
cant get pics up but heres a link to the site with the xs power pics:
http://www.xs-power.co.uk/index.php?...products_id=89
with that being said and looking back at everything, maybe you can enlighten me again 91jdhatchback. what turbo should i run? or better yet, can i jus change the exhaust housing on my current turbo inorder to accomodate the new manifold?

You do not have the right manifold. You're talking about a tdo4 or an evo 16g when you have a T4? As said before, "thats like way opposite spectrum of turbo sizing. christ." You can almost fit a 16g into the intake of a T4 turbo lol. Your talking about a huge power difference, not to mention the lag youre going to get with a T4 turbo running 260whp. Sell the maniflod and put the money towards something more suited for your use

You could try that. I'd look into a T4 to T3 adapter plate first. Keep in mind a T3 flange is still significantly larger and will not work with something like a WRX turbo

Re: T4 flange: whats my best turbo option
for a GSR i would run a mini ram for flow past 6000K, maybe a .57 trim t3/t4 (that would be a T3 flange) for better top end flow associated with the GSR.
heres the thing, your trying to use parts that will fail soon. that POS XSpower manifold is garbage. Spoolin, AFI, etc has great flowing mani's that wont hurt your performance and will prob be the last mani youll ever need to buy.
Now with that being said, i know your a noob, but u can ask any boosted guy on here:
Fast
Reliable
Cheap
^^ pick 2 and the 3rd is what its not.
Dont try and go cheap with your build cuz sooner or later you will have to replace mostly everything anyways. Try writing a plan and stick with the plan and not rush the build. buy your peices/parts over time and in the end it will all pay off.
