I drove a T4 60-1 O-trim .58 AR on the street with no problem. It spooled at 4800 on a 81mm bore gsr motor and it is big enough for over 500 whp!

[quote]you from cheapturbo.com? QUOTE]

yep

can you hook me up with a t4 with garrett turbo bb upgrade?
i wouldnt suggest it for the price and your hp goals.. the t4/60-1 is $725 plus the bb compressor upgrade of $600= $1325
i would suggest the faster spooling, longer lasting gt30 for almost the same price, if you go thru our groupbuy.

btw whats the gt, why is it so expensive?
the gt series is garrett's high performance turbocharger line. these turbochargers eliminate the use of journal bearings on the shaft, in favor of dual steel ball bearings. most "ball bearing" turbochargers use a ceramic ball bearing, only on the compressor side, and leave the higher friction journal bearing on the turbine side, thus creating more frictional drag and slowing the speed of the shaft. with the dual steel ball bearing in the gt series cartridge, you will have far less frictional drag, creating a faster spool and longer life with the steel instead of ceramic.. pretty much, the center sections are indestructable.
hope this answers your questions.

Cheapturbo.com::

A T04S with and 82 a/r, how would this turbo handle? When would boost come in on a b16? What kind of boost is max on it? Does this turbo have the clamp-on down-pipe? What are all the inlet and outlet sizes??? What else can you tell me about this turbo? I just ordered one and I'll be getting it soon....just wanted to know some more on it. Thanks.

I love mine. T4 60-1 .70 a/r ball bearing turbo. pushes 326hp and 221ft. lbs of torque at 10psi daily on pump gas. Spools around 42-4500 and trust me, once boost hits, it doesn't matter what the other guy has unless he's dumped something really nasty in his car too. http://www.elite-motorsport.com/inlinedyno.jpg
