t3 turbo .60/.48 airesearc crack?
there are 2 hair line cracks on the picture below circled in red.. will this be a problem? i'm using an external wastegate and didn't realize the cracks till now. pls chime in..

Thats very common with older turbos. As long as the crack doest reach the casting around the turbine wheel, you will be fine to use it like that.

i bought a rebuild turbo and there was no crack there.
when i removed my dp flange that was just sitting on it to weld my dp up there where those cracks.
my old t3 also had cracks like that!
lol.
i went to a local turbo guy one time to ask him about em and he just looked at me nd said "YAH THEY ALL HAVE THAT"
dont worry about it!

you would grind it flush after welding it....anyways im sure a new housing wouldnt be too expensive off ebay or somewhere if you wanted to go that route
