Default T3/To4E Or GT3076R Peak Boost Kit!

**Im really sorry, and am sure this has been posted
in the past but id like your advice on my situation!

Well with the help of many here on Honda-tech
Ive come to the point where i start to gather what i need
to Mild build and boost my B16a2..How ever i got a message from Ken
regarding my setup and recommend i go with the Topmount
Kit! However i dont know which turbo is best for me and my setup!
either the T3 or GT30! He did say this about the GT.

"the GT3076R and tial44mm wastegate, this
would allow for support upto 550whp and a bit quicker spool than the
factory journal bearing turbo. "

So the GT Spools up alot quicker, but im not using it for drag racing or track!
more of Street use!
Not sure what he means by Factory Journal Bearing turbo,But i wouldnt mind spending the extra $825 on the GT and 44mm Tial WG!
My goal was 320-350 with the room to grow in the future!

So with that being said is the GT and 44mm much better of a turbo or is it more of a turbo for bigger numbers??

Ill either be calling them tommorow or just ordering online today!

i would love to run a peakboost kit with a 3076, which i think is a great turbo for 300-500 hp (being very similar to my t3/60-1 but ball bearing instead)

i would go with the gt30 instead. most drag cars spool late anyways and dont see full boost until around 6k or higher, with the gt30 and proper cams it would hopefully start spooling around 4k which would be a lot better for street use since you wanna start spooling earlier and get the jump. the 44mm wastegate is sweet, thats what im gonna be running but you would be just as good with a 38mm. i dont think you need a topmount for streetuse, im sure youd be gravy with the ramhorn or probably even the quickie manifold (shorty aka mini-ramhorn, not log!).
the factory bearing he's referring to is a non-ball bearing turbo and the ball bearing turbos spool faster. and assuming you take care of the ball-bearing turbo well, its supposed to last longer than a standard bearing.
if you do decide that you want the standard t3 turbo, i have a brand new garrett t3 60-1 with .70 a/r and .82 exhaust housing. its supposed to make about 300whp around 7 lbs that id trade you and pay the difference towards the gt30

If you can afford the GT30 then go for it.

how come?[/QUOTE]

the b16 gears are just to short. my low boost sitting is around 350hp and the tires break loose on a 3rd gear pull. the only gear i can have fun with is 4th +. high speed run need to change my wg spring to get around 300hp

The ball bearing upgrade and 44mm wastegate is definetely better than the 38mm and a journal bearing turbo. If you are only looking for 320-350whp the t3/t04e with a 60 trim would work just fine and give you room to grow up to the 400-420whp marker.

44 Tial will give better control all over and at lower boost levels. Also bb turbos are the shi..! Ken Peak is the man he set me up with a bad *** turbo. If you are low on cash I would just go 60-1 but if you can dig in your pockets always go for the bb turbo. When you say mild build what do you mean?
