That turbo is way to big for your setup. I would just go with a small turbo from a greddy kit or a drag kit. That turbo will be ridiculously laggy. My fully built lsvtec will be using that turbo but stock block with the low revs you will see boost around 5500 i think

I made 403WHP on 13psi with this turbo in a stock bore GSR. I love it.

From what I've been told this turbo should see 7 or 8 pounds of boost by 5000 RPM's. I'm not too worried about lag, especially since ITR206 said it spools about the same as a T3/TO4E 60 trim, but more about making too much power for the stock LS rods to handle.

Stock bore, but 9:1 pistons, rods and sleeves.

I would still boost 13psi and put down at least 403WHP on a stock block though.

a lot of us here at full race have run this turbo on stock sleeve built ls/vtecs with great luck. henry made 420 whp at 13 psi, and the car is very, very fast it is a really fun setup, and definately is not too much turbo for that motor

I should have everything on and running by this weekend and I'll give some insight on how I like it. My last turbo was a sc61 so I will compare the too if I have enough time to drive, since the damn Hurricane is coming and it will prop bw raining

Thanks for the assurance guys, I have a few friends coming over now and we're gonna start putting the motor in tonight! Would you say it's easier to get the motor in the car with the turbo and manifold already on, or take it off?

With lower boost settings like 6-7 PSI, i'd go with a smaller 57 trim t3/t4

Wow, this setup is ******* SICK! Got it ALL in last night, had my brother help me get it running. Left timing at stock LS settings, added in some more fuel with uberdata, car is only going to see straight 117 octane VP leaded untill I get the car tuned. I'm running a 6-psi spring in the gate with no boost controller, as well as open downpipe It's about an 8 mile round trip to school, so my dad said it's OK to just use his race gas till I have enough money for a tune (just got a job today!) because he'd rather have me waste a bit of C16 then blow my motor and put me back even further in the hole But this car is freakin LOUD even taking it as easy as I could, but for now I love it

Sounds like you've got a nice setup and an even nicer family.

Go you!

While I do agree with you, not every kid is the same.

Just take the proper precautions is all I would ask. (IE, don't kill yourself or anyone else )
