Default t3/t04e clearance in 5th gen prelude

Anyone know if there are any clearance issues with your favorite H22a manifold and a t3/t04e? That front engine mount looks like it might be in the way. I was thinking of using the Fmax manifold.

love, mike

i got the fmax manifold and there is still clearance issues...i had to shave one of the bolts holding the compressor housing and the turbo is clocked about 20 deg. from vertical so oil drain fitting won't hit the mount

Mike, I would go with a B housing. The H22 isnt a high reving motor like the b18c is. A t3 stage 3 .48/ t04b will be an awesome street turbo for that displacement. The torque in the h22 is so awesome with turbo..

Art, I'm going to kick you in the nuts next time I see you. What do you mean I should go with that tiny t04b? 7500rpm isn't high enough for you?

hahaha, I'll buy you a beer next time I see you. Dont ask why, but I like the little turbos with the h22. But 7500 is high plus that car already has torque to start off with.
BTW, please stay away from my nuts. Thanks

I really want to make this t04e I have fit. I want to make use of that badass welder dustin has and make a custom front engine mount.

By all means if you have the t04e, go with what you have. Bigger is better.

it doesn't rev as high as a B18C but it does flow more air doesn't it? I'm not sure, but anyways a lot of H22 Luders are running T04 E trim turbos with a T3 .63 a/r turbine. with that a/r they were reachin 7-10 PSI by about 3700-4000 RPM's.

a .48 might seem "peppy" on the street, but if you try to take it to 7200-7400(redline) on the highway or the track you might be disappointed.

I have/had the .48 exhaust side... it sucks... majestic is currently shipping me a .63... by tomorrow night i can tell you for sure if it is better... but as it was i lost all power above 5-6k rpms... once vtec kicked in power went down the drain...
